About as vicious as she is pretty, Pearla finds it too easy to bear a grudge. She enjoys belittling people and rarely has a nice word to say. Most of her issues seem to stem back to high school, and if you ask her she'll say two things were stolen from her on prom night - her boyfriend and her crown.
A failing (or failed) musician due to his complete incapability to play the guitar or sing, the emptiness in Oscar's life has been taken over by Pearla and he always seems to be by his twin sister's side. You'd find it hard to believe that Oscar used to be the most cheerful student at Covertine high. And both twins believe they have lost something precious to them... but only one of them really has.
Although he seems years younger than his siblings, Lewis is in fact only younger by ten months. His naive and trusting attitude are what make him seem so young, and also so overlooked in comparison to Pearla and Oscar. Having always lived in their shadows, will a new friend in Lewis' life finally enable him to break free?
